I stopped by Le P'tit Paris today for breakfast

Stopped by for breakfast at Le P'tit Paris today. What I like about Le P'tit is that you can usually find a friend or two there at any given time. Usually at breakfast, a lot of the business owners from Commodore Plaza can be found there. But if you sit there long enough you'll see friends and neighbors pop up. Stop by, sit down, enjoy and feel the Grove ambiance.

They tell me that they closed yesterday for a spring winter cleaning. The closed up the brick oven since they don't use it and they just did a thorough scrubbing of the whole place. But they're open now and ready for you.

I would like to try this place, but was told last Sunday that the wait would be 30 minutes when there were at least 2 or 3 tables open. No explanation; what gives?

The day I was there, we had a bad experience (both service and food). Everyone else around me was complaining about both. I'll stick to GreenStreet, thank you very much.

Heard that Le P'tit has a new chef, fired from George's (Buchon's former owner, now with new place, brought him from France to be Exec. chef)Hope this helps. Perhaps he will instill Gallic skill and pride the owner's lack. Americans are no longer gullible or impressed simply by the french accent. The Sysco (institutional food supplier) frozen and processed food delivery is huge. The old hand cut fries disappeared and are now the frozen "merde" Mcdonald's wouldn't sell. Bread is still horrible. Breakfast is still the same as a diner, but cold. This place could be wonderful, they do want to improve. Hopefully the chef will change the menu and convince the arrogant, haughty owners to stay home.

hey , it doesn't sound like you've been ever at this place, you sound like a competitor...the thing is American want good but still fast food...Even if they stay 3hours at a restaurant they want their food in 5 min like at Mc Donald's! so they replaced the good homemade french fries who take a while to cook for faster.
