Micanopy Peacocks on tv tonight
Weird.
CBS News will be out this weekend to do a story for their Sunday Morning show. But it's being done on a street near the Moorings. Not sure why, when the peacocks are on Micanopy.

They are down in the south Grove because we have plenty of peacocks roaming the streets here as well. And aren't they lovely for slowing the traffic that flys down our narrow streets to drop their children at the private schools around here. At least they help give us dogwalkers a chance to get out of the way of the speeders.
Yes, we too have peacocks in the South Grove. My children are captivated by them.
yeah South Grove right by the Moorings and the Christian Science building is the only place I've ever seen "these peacocks"
It's apparent that north grove (Micanopy) does not have an exclusive on peacock poop. We in the south grove happily live with peacocks in our trees, on our roofs, decks, yards and streets and do not gripe loudly enough to entice network media coverage. They really should be the "Grove's Peacocks" after all. But I guess the fluff piece on TV is a welcome diversion to the financial debacle we're otherwise watching.

When and where will Sarnoff' Town Hall meeting occur ?
Why is the Sarnoff Town Hall Meeting by secret recorded invite? Isn't everyone invited? Where and when is the meeting?
The North Grove has too many peacocks (22nd Ave & 27th Lane). I didn't see the news report, but what used to be a few peacocks have now multiplied into a flock of 15-20. I don't mind having to slow down in the car, but they crap all over our porch, making it smell like a barnyard, and I can't imagine it's healthy, especially for the kids. They sleep on our roof and I imagine when I go up there, I'm going to find damage to the tile because of their waste. They're not native, something should be done to control their numbers.
