For the birds
We were at Scotty's Landing for lunch yesterday.
I love the way the black birds come right to the table and steal the sugar and Sweet'N Low. They like the Sweet'N Low more than the actual sugar. Maybe the pink package attracts them more.
I tried to get photos but the birds are too fast.
The staff there doesn't like it, they chase them away, but I think they are part of the fun.

Big black crows.. like'em or or not, they're among the smartest birds on the planet.
Oh Grape you have to go back there and see if you could catch a picture of that because it would be classic! Like Carlos said like'em or or not, they're among the smartest birds on the planet.
Maybe the staff fruitlessly chasing birds is part of the fun, too.
Is the food any good there? Last time I went it was awful. I love to go for the view but cannot tolerate bad food.

Everyone is talking about how we need to give more business to grove business with good food. Don't go to Scotty's!!! The food is probably the worst in all of Miami (yes from Ft. Laud to Key Largo). People go there for the view. If everyone would stop going there it would force Scotty to actually serve an eatable meal. Lets make a pact! If you want a view walk around the marina's or one of the parks on the bay. Scotty's doesn't deserve our business with the service they provide and the quality of food.
Scotty's is a great place, unpretentious, just a RARE, cool place BY the water to have a beer, talk to friends in the breeze, and have some mediocre clam chowder or snapper or burger, (stone crab claws in season). A RARE asset to the Grove, to be appreciated just for what it is, exactly what you will NOT find at Mayfair shopping Malls.. If they started improving on their food, prices go up, the place goes crazy with snobs, pardon my french, and you just get another Monty's, which doesn't have great food either.
I'd vote for a more varied music selection though, alas, the weekend bands and tunes have been the same for ages!
And please don't advertise this place, I garantee you most foods are mediocre at best, try the Charthouse right next doors when you feel fancy..
