The Cavalry has arrived
I love seeing all these cops on horses in the Grove these days.
Today this group was in Kenneth Myers Park. I love how they mix with the horse and giraffe sculptures in the park. These park photos were taken by Harry Emilio Gottlieb.
Yesterday afternoon, about 5 pm, there was one riding a horse up near 17th Avenue and South Bayshore Drive, toward the Mercy Hospital area. It looks strange at first, but very quaint. I took this photo of them.

I love the horses and the cops are generally very accommodating to children. If horses were good enough for Cortes, they should be good enough for the MPD! My wife was wondering if this is why there are fewer homeless hanging around Peacock Park.
yes, these horse are great for the Grove.
Who pays for them, who organizes that, what's the purpose, surveillance, to make our village look great?
anyone knows how this works?
Thanks
Carlos
The six foot long swath of horse turds on Grand Avenue near Shaq 24 was an especially quaint addition to the village ambience.
They came to show up only.
With sirens on like an emergency and then they drive their huge super duty picks-up right into the grass of the park from the parking lot of the dinner key marina.
I don't think they have any respect for public domain.
I'd rather see them enforcing traffic laws
