Cabana One Lounge and Pool Club coming to Mayfair Hotel

Looks like Ron Berkowitz, rapper Jay-Z's publicist is opening a club on the rooftop of the Mayfair Hotel. That and the new pool should make the Mayfair a popular hangout. The pool seems like it will never be complete, but the end of the year is the projection for the finished project.

The club will be the Cabana One Lounge and Pool Club and will surround the new rooftop pool deck. It will have barside cabanas with flat screen TVs where customers can not only watch tv but play video games.

Here are photos of the finished product.

Where did you get such information? As a 23 year old graduate student who just recently moved into the Grove, I am delighted to hear such news. Hopefully this will become another grove hot-spot that will keep people away from feeling they always have to go to Brickell or South Beach to get the rooftop bar/lounge experience.

Hope the roof is properly fixed now-anybody remember how it flew off and the Mayfair parking entrance in front of Out of Africa turned into the La Brea Tar pits? That was nasty!!!!

I wish someone could use some of that empty space over at Mayfair/old Borders for some fun event rentals! I would love to see some cute quince parties there; I think lots of people would enjoy having their own private functions there, that way the rest of us can have fun too-this whole pooltop thing sounds very "exclusive" and pricey.

I used to love that borders...its so sad how the mayfair has gone downhill to virtually nothing. Maybe they should bring back the virtual cafe...jk.
