Sunday morning bikers

This new blog nameplate photo was taken this morning on South Bayshore Drive near Rockerman. Thought you might like to see the whole thing. I had the camera out of the car window and was just snapping away at whatever I saw. I loved the way this came out so it will be up at the top for awhile. If you click on it, it will open larger.

I don't know about anyone else but those bikers are so annoying on the road. Such road hogs. They run lights and feel as if they don't have to obey traffic laws.

I am a recreational biker myself, doing anywhere from 26 to 52 miles per weekend.

I whole-heartedly agree.

These guys are hogs, real hogs.

They sail through red lights, stop signs and intersections, more often than not, with the police timidly looking on. Only the Key Biscayne police seems to have the balls to do something about them.

Most of them turn really aggressive if you pass them and, in my case, where I ride a mountain bike, they try to intimidate you when they pass you on the road.

In all honesty, I think Miami drivers are especially rude when it comes to well-behaving bikes, but I don't blame drivers 100% for turning aggressive when gangs of bicyclists hog the entire road.

Excellent photo...Interesting comments from the cyclist...I'm sure that the cyclists are all good folks out for some excersize, but I think that the mob mentality really sets in when the pack gets so large.

I'm in agreement with how annoying they are. They claim "same road, same rules" which is fine by me...but that would mean stopping at the stop signs and lights and not giving me the evil eye when I honk at their offenses! I wish I could become a police officer only to ticket these pompous cyclists.
