The French are coming, actually, they are here
It seems that three out of the four corners on Commodore are French owned -- Greenstreet, Le P'tit Paris and Trini and Women's Fitness. With Georges Farge, from George's in the Grove, it's a fearsome foursome, but George is not on the other corner. So that leaves one corner French-less.

Over on the corner of Matilda and Grand they are teaching French. Coconut Grove Elementary has a French program.
Ive always noticed that the Grove has an abundance of French restaurants. Le Petit, Le Bouchon, Le Moulin, Georges, French Kiss, and even Cristobelle's. Not that Im complaining - I love French food.
If only the Grove had a French bakery , cheese store, butcher, etc.
Also, does the Grove hold any Bastille Day events on the 14th? Any celebrations organized around restaurants? Thanks for any replies!
CocoWalk used to have Bastille Day. When I asked new management about it, they looked at me like I had three heads.
There is a French bakery in the Grove! It is called Foccasia. It opened during the Idiotic congress French fry brouhaha period, and the owners (French) were too worried about giving it a French name
Thanks for the info on Foccasia Pierre. My wife and I just moved here. I'll go take a look this afternoon.
