TREEmendous needs help planting on Saturday

TREEmendous Miami is seeking volunteers to help plant trees to beautify and restore the roadside by the US1 corridor. Your help is essential to getting this important job done and is a great opportunity to help beautify your community. Students can earn Community Service Hours, too.

A variety of native and flowering trees and shrubs will be planted and if you've never planted, come anyway, they’ll teach you how to properly maintain, plant and care for trees.

Volunteers will meet at 8:30 am for an orientation session and work until noon. Look for the signs at the Coconut Grove Metrorail Station near 27th Avenue and US1. Please make sure to report to the volunteer sign in.

Bring sunscreen, lots of water and a shovel/rake/gloves (if you don’t have any, they will be provided). Recommended attire includes closed toe shoes, lightweight long pants & long sleeve shirt and shade hat.

For more details and/or questions or to join in, please call or email Amy, the Program Coordinator at (305) 378-1863 or
treemendousmiami@mail.com. You can also visit their website at www.treemendousmiami.org.
