Nasty cops and rude NET employees

We have this crazy problem in our neighborhood. Every once in awhile, the police get a bug up their asses and they start ticketing every car on the street, even though the cars are legally parked.

You can see above there is a "no parking" sign across the street. That side of the street cannot have cars. But the sign is twisted, so rather than be parallel to that side of the street, showing that there is no parking up and down that side, it points to both sides of the street, which really, there is no such thing in legal signage.

But yet, the police drive around and start ticketing every car on the street, only get this -- if you are there and tell them not to ticket you, they won't ticket you. So every other car is ticketed. The poor souls who are not there to witness this ticket barrage are ticketed and the lucky ones who are present are not. Is this right?

You can't see it, but there are about six other cars parked in front of this car and three others have tickets, the remaining don't. The people I asked told me they were able to tell the cops to stop. So the cops stopped at their cars and ticketed the others.

I called the NET office and the lady literally yelled at me on the phone, telling me to call the police and not bother her with this problem. Guess she had a bug up her ass today, too.

Anyway, that is the situation here in the North Grove today. My car wasn't on the street, but the neighbors asked me to make the phone calls. Next time I'll just mind my own business, or better yet, just blog it and not make any phone calls.
