Meet Tibetan artist Karma Phuntsok
Born in Lhasa, Tibet, Karma Phuntsok and his family followed the Dalai Lama into exile in 1959. He was educated in the Tibetan refugee schools of Dharamsala and later apprenticed with a master Tangka painter. Tangka is Tibetan iconographic painting, which Karma combines with his contemporary experience to create extraordinary transcendent works of art.
The exhibit is going on now through June 17, but from now until June 7, you may see the artist painting at the gallery. For info, please
