Left hand never knows what right hand is doing

Apparently the meter maids didn't get the memo from Comm. Marc Sarnoff. No, not that one, the one where he declared the street parking in front of the Grove post office free for 30 minutes until the parking lot job is complete.

One irate guy complained to Dave Collins, head of the BIC (Business Improvement Committee) and Dave took the ticket. He said he'd take care of it. If the Miami Parking Authority (MPA) doesn't void it, good ol' Dave will pay the ticket out of his own pocket.

But this should not be happening. The MPA needs to know the parking rules: FREE 30 MINUTE PARKING in front of the post office until further notice.

It could be that, and unfortunate it would be, Commissioner Sarnoff's staff never successfully coordinated with the Parking Authority. As of right, the commissioner doesn't have the authority to simply declare new temporary parking regulations, and so he would need to negotiate/compromise this with Parking Authority.

Wrong. Sarnoff does have the authority! He is a white elitist an can do what he wants.

nothing in the City happens immediately - it will happen and will happen soon but not just as soon as someone decides that is what they want.

Why would you show a ticket with someone's license tag number on it? The person holding the ticket should have put their finger over that information - their middle finger at that.

The license number is blurred in the picture

You can park for free on the side streets near the car wash off grand ave. if you can handle walking for about a block. Unfortunately, there are so many fat, unhealthy people in Miami that I know this is difficult for quite a few.

There is no free parking at the post office until the signage goes up which could be this week.
