Free 30 minutes of street parking at post office
Comm. Marc Sarnoff is arranging a 30 minute parking courtesy at the post office starting next week. This should be in place until the post office lot is completed. I'm not sure how it will be arranged and I don't know where it would start and end. Probably it would run from 32nd Avenue to the end of the post office property (at the end of the chain link fence along Grand Avenue). I guess those three or four spots around the block on 32nd Avenue will be included, too.
This will help with the parking issue for now. People were upset over having to pay for parking and then getting tickets anyway due to slow post office service because the meter would run out.
This was decided at today's post office meeting at the glass house.

Let's hope the Miami Parking Authority buys into free 30 min. parking for postal customers and others don't abuse it.
