St. Hugh's new Concert Series
St. Hugh Catholic Church (3460 Royal Road) is presenting a new concert series.
The first concert is this Friday, May 16 at 8 pm -- "An Evening of Piano and Voice Virtuosity." Included: Rachmaninoff Musical Moments op. 16, Liszt Spanish Rhapsody, music from Bellini's "La Sonnambula" and "Ride on, King Jesus." Performing will be Maria Aleida Rodriguez, soprano and the Coconut Grove Concert Chorus. Roberto Berrocal is the music director.
Admission is free, but a donation is requested. The money raised will benefit The Grove Outreach, which is a place where the church purchases and distributes food to the poor every Sunday.
