Milam's Big Give
Max Milam was inspired to give back to the community after watching Oprah's Big-Give. His brothers, Allen and Michael have joined in as well. The two food pantries to receive the donations are Christ Episcopal Church (3481 Hibiscus) and St. Hugh Catholic Church (3460 Royal Road).
In addition to this donation, Milam's will be launching "Hope sees the invisible and achieves the impossible." This program will allow customers to make a contribution to a cause at the time of checkout.

I dislike giving money to charities cause you really don't know where it is going to end up. However, I have no problem buying dry food and donating that, as it will end up in the hands of someone who is hungry, and needs it (hopefully). I'm sure if Milam's and other supermarkets set up a "dry goods" donation box, they would get a lot more food then money....
