Mail your income tax, no parking though
The schlumpy post office will have people outside to collect your income tax today. Since you can't park in the lot, they are being "kind enough" to accommodate you this way. They should do that on a daily basis until they fix the freakin' lot. The Grove's post office general manager should stand out there in the wind, rain, sleet and heat daily, until the job is done.I wonder if Coral Gables or Aventura or Pinecrest would allow their post offices to be like this for months and months on end. I don't think so. Why do we allow it here in the Grove? It's been seven months already, with no improvement in sight.
Why isn't the Business Improvement Committee or Chamber of Commerce getting involved here and finding out why this mess is going on for so long? Was it necessary to kill all those trees and destroy the parking lot so it could sit this way indefinitely?

Does anyone actually know what the post office is doing? I mean... it shouldn't take this long just to repave a driveway/parking lot. Are they planning to do something with this space?
