It's a perfect day to be out

Today is one of those perfect days, 70 degrees sunny and mild.

I started breakfast off at a little café having coffee out at a small table enjoying the 60 degree weather. I then ended up all over town, I dropped something off at Sue McConnell's house, I stopped in on AnnaMaria at the gallery, I popped in on Dave Collins at his office at Mayfair, I visited with Sandy at The Bookstore, and I popped into Focaccia for more coffee and then ended up with some of those little hamburger "sliders" at The Cheesecake Factory -- they remind me so much of White Castle burgers. I also checked out the artists painting at Tu Tu Tango.

Everyone seems to be out, all the restaurants are full of happy diners, the skater boiz are doing their thing, but this time at Peacock Park and even those in line at the post office seem to be happy and cheerful while mailing in their taxes. I think it is the weather, not the fact that they are mailing in their taxes.

Lord knows I love me some sliders - but the mini-burgers at Cheesecake don't even come close to White Castle! As delicious as they may be (and they are), the closest thing to White Castle in South Florida is Krystal Burger.

I grew up in North/Central New Jersey and ADORE White Castle... "buy 'em buy the sack" whenever I visit!

Talk about getting a new business into the Grove... :O

White Castle? EWWW. If the grove really wanted to get some good eats they would convince the best burger join in the US, "in and out" to open their first east coast restaurant right here in coconut grove. Double double anyone?

I am married to a flight attendant so we get out to California alot. Out first stop is IN & Out. Love to have it here in the Grove in our backyard.

Yes, In-n-Out is my favorite as well. White Castle is god awful. Eat a white castle slider, get a serious case of "sliders" about 30 minutes later.
