Holding court on Commodore Plaza
He gave me a little tour. The place was totally gutted, everything is brand new from the kitchen to the bathrooms.
George has a microphone and was demonstrating how he'll use it to rap and call out customers, etc. He is the last person that needs a mic, I think he is the only person who is louder than me and that's hard to do.
If you want a good time, stop by, kibitz a little on the street. He'll really make you feel welcome. Can't wait till they open next month.

This will be another French restaurant, right? I love French food but the Grove is seething with them already. 2 on Main Hwy and then French Kiss on Bird Rd (unless that closed? Havent been in awhile but I really enjoyed it for the food even if it is/was in a crap location.). Christobelle's is also French-influenced. I guess if the shoe fits... Hopefully he will have success. Im looking forward to a new spot to try out in the Grove.
Any word on Akashi? They must be getting screwed somehow...
French Kiss has been closed for awhile. What's with that restaurant Ideas up on Bird near Flanigans; never see anyone going in there.
Ive heard Ideas is very good. Pricey, but very good. Family style traditional Spanish dishes. I need to check it out for myself but friends have tried it and have reported very good things.
