A Hand Up for the homeless
Liliana Dones, Prez of the Grove Chamber of Commerce, sent me this.She received a bunch of these cards last year from a policeman. This is business card sized, and basically you can give it to homeless people so they can go get "a hand up" at any of the places listed.
She scanned this one so you are seeing both sides of the card. The black info booths should have plenty of these on hand to dispense to people as needed. Now that's one good use of the info booths.

What is a "hand up"?
i wanted to know the same thing. whatever it is, this is a wonderful idea!
I wonder if they gather all the homeless guys with the coupons in a big group and then a guy comes out on a stage with a mic and starts yelling,
"THROW YA HAND UP IN THE AY-ER AND WAVE EM LIKE YA JUST DONT CAY-ER!"
