They have been pretty busy at Berries
They have a new Chef, Frank Ferreiro, who is tightening up the menu, changing a few things. The new menu should start in about a week.
Grove Designer Rebecca Kyrouac is still hard at work -- the men's and woman's restrooms just had a complete renovation. And they have a newly decorated wall with old black and white photos of the owners, the staff, their families and some locals.
The parking lot is being paved right now. And they are putting up a retractable awning for the patio in the next few months, hopefully before the rainy season. They are even working on a new website.
Wow, next time I'll be careful to ask them "what's new?" Apparently EVERYTHING is new at Berries. :)

I just moved our offices to right around the block from them, so we "discovered" them for lunch. It is great, the prices are great, the food is great and the service is very friendly. Strongly recommend it.
they need some live entertainment. it's a tad boring, but it's one of the few places in coco where you can park free and not get too terribly ripped off on prices.
Are they on Code 33?
So what goes on upstairs??
Just had a burger there tonight. I sat out front along the wall by the sidewalk with Buddy the Dog. Most of the staff knows and loves Buddy.
And by the way, they've got the best burgers in town and the staff, top shelf! Tonight the lovely Ivonne served me. Great place!
For those interested, one last comment. The happy hour bar scene kicks.........lot's of regulars and pretty women attend.
Berries does have a nice happy hour. I always run into familiar and friendly faces.
At the moment they do not do the code 33 10% discount, but as of this month they are accepting the Primecard, which provides a 25% discount!
either way, their prices are reasonable, the food consistently good, and the close proximity to home is the best.
Robert, one of the owners and the visionary behind their perpetual improvement, is a true gentleman.
Last time I was there, they cut back happy hour to 4-6p which made no sense at all. I used to go there at least 2-3 times a week but havent been in over a year because of the cheapskate happy hour cutback (the average person gets out of work at 530p) and because the quality of food went right in the crapper.
They must've heard you bitchin' around as well as many others regarding the early bird happy hour and consequently switched it from 5 to 7: bring your happiness and get twoferone.
See ya there.
