Heard around town . . .
Famous writer Tom Wolfe visited to the Grove last week. I read in The Herald that he ate at my neighbor's restaurant, Le Bouchon du Grove.
Mr. Wolfe also checked out other areas in the Grove like The Bookstore. He asked if they carried any of his books, they didn't.
Can you say "awkward?" I bet they ordered some real fast after that.

Someone broke a window in one of the new info booths already -- the one at the post office. Guess they needed info badly -- there are a few brochures inside, either that or they wanted the folding chair that was sitting inside.

No doubt Wolfe's notoriously conservative views are too much for the Grove's pot-addled, over-aged hippies.
