"Marjory's Circle" now forming

Grove residents were fortunate a year ago when the State decided not to move Marjory Stoneman Douglas' historic home out of Coconut Grove. Since then little has happened. It looks like a state park employee is living there and that some work is being done on the house. It isn't easy to get information on the present status. The public has not had access to the site since Marjory died nine years ago.

Would you like to help insure that the house has a bright future? A new group called "Marjory's Circle" is now forming. It will work toward restoration and preservation of the house and its grounds, and help create a plan that will allow the public to have access to the property.

The first meeting is Monday, March 3, from 7- 8 pm. It will take place at Plymouth Congregational Church (3400 Devon Road).

The meeting is in the "Pilgrim House", the two-story structure across the street from the main parking lot. You may park in the yard of the Pilgrim House as well.
