The new center of town
The Bookstore (2911 Grand Ave.) has really become quite a hangout, inside and out. One popular feature is the free internet (wifi) service. They also are very community oriented -- the Girl Scouts spent the past weekend there selling cookies and I have seen musicians outside on the Virginia Street side just doing their thing. It has actually become the center of town. It's like, "Meet me in front of The Bookstore at 10:30," or "Let's meet for coffee at The Bookstore," or "I'll leave the meeting notice with Felice at The Bookstore for you," which someone did for me once.
