Life imitating art -- come out for Breakfast with the Artists

Harry Emilio Gottlieb got a picture of me in front of the painting of me at Focaccia Rustica.

The paintings on the wall are Christmas gifts by AnnaMaria Windisch-Hunt.

Saturday, January 10 is the next "Breakfast With the Artist," who will be AnnaMaria.

It's at Focaccia (3111 Grand Avenue) at 9 am. Many of the subjects of the art (the Grove characters) will be there, too. The art will only be there until next Monday, so this week would be a good time to stop by to see it if you cannot make the breakfast on Saturday.

A couple of the subjects are thrilled, not only because they are part of the art, but because their dreams came true through the art. One always wanted to be an adagio dancer, now he is, in the painting of him. Another wanted to be a ballerina, she is that in the painting of her.

I always wanted to be a guy on the phone, and see, my dream came true! Just kidding, but why not come out and meet the artist and the subjects on Saturday.

Also, you can speak with AnnaMaria about having a painting done of yourself or loved one as a gift. She can make you anything you want to be!
