Grab the tourists while you can; they are in and out fast

A couple of us were curious as to how long the tourists are here for on these tour buses.

The buses drop them off and then take off so fast. So I went over and chatted with the driver.

He said that the Grove is the longest stop, we had thought Little Havana was, but he says the Grove has a 30 minute layover and Little Havana is only 10 minutes. They actually go into a shop, buy a "Cuban" cigar, have a Cuban Coffee and leave.

It seems that they pick up the tourists in South Beach and they have to end up at Bayside at a certain time for a boat tour. So it's all planned out.

So anyway, the Grove is the longest in these stops along the way and it behooves Grove businesses to get the tourists while you can. The good thing is that it's an all day thing and the different tour companies are in and out with tourists on a regular time table. So there are a lot of people coming and going all day long.

The best thing could be to hand out brochures and hope they will come back later on in their trip to visit the Grove for other things rather than a quick pee or drink break.

You are so correct. In fact as several of us Grovers went diving in the Keys, actually Matacombee Key, catching a lot of lobster weekly over a period of about 4 hours, 4 buses full of Oriental people walked down the catwalks, for 1/2 hour. The next day I set up a bar be and large cooker, filled it with lobster and we collected at times $500.00, daily until the hot dog lady across the street complainted. I didn't know she filed the complaint and I gave here an extra 30 lobster the last day and my friend said he was hungry and we order 4 dogs and she charged us $10.00, after I gave her $150.00, worth of bugs!!!! You are right to suggest grab them while you can.
