Plantings on Commodore Plaza

The plantings on Commodore Plaza seem to be taking nicely. They really spruce up the street. But I noticed that unless the strong chain link fence is put up, people will break the weak fence.

Probably the drinkers coming out of the bars at 3 am right?

if they have to put an ugly fence around the plants to save them, doesnt that kind of negate the whole effort?

maybe the fence is temporary until the plants mature?

i hope so. otherwise, its kind of like putting plastic covers on your lampshades.

The fences would be temporary until the ferns take hold....maybe later on they can add some pretty wrought iron fencing that isn't quite as high.
