New bookstore coming to the Grove

It's actually called "The Bookstore in the Grove". It will be located at the corner of Grand Ave. and Virginia. Great location.
It's an independent bookstore/cafe created for the community -- a place to hang out, to read, enjoy friends, have some coffee and pastries and just get a little culture.
Right now they are looking for experienced bookstore managers, cafe managers, part-time workers and volunteers. They also would like to know what you would like to see there -- what you like to read, what programs you would like, etc.
You can contact Felice at 305-389-1879 or email feldub@aol.com
I am counting the days. :)

The Grove is getting it's Groove back.
This is exciting!
its a MIRICLE!!!!!!!!
I love history (particular african history) and travel writing. I am soo excited. I will study there every night if they have tables. Yippie yippie Yah
If you like African History, you should check out Book Addiction. It's a cool little shop on Grand.
Great news!
NEETO!!!!
If they offer free internet with some space to study in a decently quiet atmoshphere I'll be there at least two nights a week, and will gladyly invest in refreshments, magazines, books, etc.
where exactly on Virginia and Grand? I'm assuming it's moving into a spot recently vacated by something else. Hope it's not just a clone of Starbucks across the street - and is a REAL bookstore!
They're moving into the spot that Banana Republic vacated.
This is awesome news even though I'm not so thrilled on the name "Bookstore in the Grove." But that may be because I'm hoping that, as an independent bookstore, they would already be thinking about expanding to other parts of Miami that's also underserved (gosh, we have lots of underserved areas in Miami-Dade) and "Bookstore in the Grove" just won't fly outside of the Grove....
