Marina discounts are gone
Grove residents who received a 30% discount to dock their boats at city-owned marinas will no longer enjoy the discount. They will now be required to pay the full $18-per-foot fee.
In order to receive capital improvement grant money form the Florida Inland Navigation District, the city was required to eliminate the discounts. You can't cry poor and give discounts to your friends.
As usual, some local residents are fighting the change. They feel the city over-charges as it is and the discount is only fair.
