Grove artist makes good in Woodstock

Grove resident and celebrated Florida artist Fred Hunt spent the summer in Woodstock, NY visiting and showing his Florida and Grove-inspired works at TALEO (http://www.taleo-arts.com). He just had a nice write up in the local paper here with quotes by the Art Editor Paul Smart who says" "The man is an unpretentious joy to converse with." and "He's got the attention of redolent detail and mood that the best of classic Woodstock art has."

He will be back in the Grove soon, so if you see him ask him about his northern adventures and maybe you can see some of the wonderful art produced up there or check out his web page and click on the Woodstock Pics link (

The photo above is one of Fred painting a work inspired by his trip to the Duchess County Fair, an area event around Woodstock. Woodstock is a noted artist colony and post hippy hangout, made world famous when its name was used for a concert back in 1969.
