Hate to be an arm-chair art critic, but who decided on that work? Honestly... I thought something more was on the way after all of the "talk". I mean I support art, and I could not have made that "work". But, who and what commitee approved this? I mean not a soul asked me, or anyone I knew.
Art in public places is important, and I truly support such efforts. But, I tend to wonder, what's up with this one.
But, who am I to complain, keep the art coming!!!!! Cause, it's better than nothing, and too bad we lost the artist of the "the Old Grove". Just cause I do not like the "work" does not mean it's not nice.
Yeah, "unapproved" art is a big problem around here. A few of the Old Grove artists are still out there but the Art Approval Committee meets so infrequently that almost nothing gets the nod.
I think the piece is really cute and adds charm to the park.
Besides, it takes a special kind of artist who doesn't mind his art being peed on.
