Artists still needed
They have extended the deadline for new artsit submissions until September 17 and are making it clear that there is 24-hour security at the festival guarding the booths overnight. Also they want artists to know that they will be fed breakfast and lunch daily.
I would think that any artist would be a fool not to try to enter this popular festival. It is one of the highlights of the year each February.

Perhaps one reason artists aren't breaking down the doors to sign up for the festival is 1), it will cost them at a minimum $805.00 for a booth and jury fee and, 2) less people are attending (buying) since the Festival started charging an entrance fee.
What Verticus S. Erectus says seem high but I would not be surprised. Has any one done a cost factor comparison of the shows wihin 10 miles. The weekend before is the N Miami Beach art show and certainly they give opportunity to local first time exhibitiors. We have opted out due to the cost factor.
