Winton wants his old job back? I want my City of Miami Fire Department fee back too!!! It surprises me how this man has the "cojones" to ask for his job back after he clearly demonstrated that he is corrupt (think real estate deal with Mayor Diaz, but he is an alcoholic who thinks that, just because he was a high ranking city official, could get away with anything
Johnny needs to get a life! His political days are gone. Doesn't he know that he will not have the respect of his constituents? Besides, Marc Sarnoff is smarter and makes intelligent questions, which obviously, the three puppets are clueless!! Bye, bye Johnny! P.S. Try Louisiana, they are rebuilding.
We need you Johnny!! The best thing that could happen to Dist. 2 and to the City of Miami is for Johnny Winton to be back on the city commission. If he doesn't win his seat back through the courts, he should run against Sarnoff.
Remember the great presidential debate quote: "You sir, are no John Kennedy." Well, Mr. Winton, sir, you are no nobleman ... and no Commissioner either.

Linda, is that you?
Yeah, we need Johnny Good Times back about as much as we all need a case of hemmeroids...
Well...if he wanted to keep his job he shouldn't have LOST IT in the first place.
Go do something productive, Johnny, and maybe we'll believe in you again and vote you in again.
No it is probably not Linda Haskins leaving that comment but Seth Gordon who is desperate to get Sarnoff out of that seat - all that intelligence and respect for residents really messes up his game.
Winton SHOULD run against Sarnoff; that's called an election, and it's how Sarnoff got the job. That's how you get to be a commissioner.
A Winton/Sarnoff competition would be very entertaining. And Winton would ultimately be pounded into the dirt in such a contest.
Winton is so desperate. What is he really after?
Why didn't Winton run against Sarnoff in 2006? That would have showed Winton felt confident and deserving. Trying to use the courts to put him back just makes him look sleazy.
go ahead -
Winton wants money; the retirement money he lost by not completing his term.
That's why he's fighting to get back in office NOW. If it was just about serving the community, he'd simply be campaigning for the next election cycle.
Winton could campaign and try to beat Sarnoff. That would mean raising money and filing to enter the race. A win for Winton would start his vesting schedule again. I happen to believe Winton would not get 1,000 votes and Sarnoff would easily beat Ole Johnny.
I wonder how much Winton is spending in legal fees?
If an election is held today and the contest is between Sarnoff and Winton, disgraced Winton will loose big time. Winton knows it and that is why he is trying to come back with the help of the court system. No doubt Sarnoff is far more effective Commissioner, smarter and very independent from the Mayor. We don’t want the Mayor and his developer friends getting one more crony on the dais. Why don’t we work very hard to defeat Angel Gonzalez this fall? Remember his vote on the Mercy hospital out of scale project? It is a disgrace to have someone with a voter fraud conviction Chair our City Commission and cast votes on issues that affect our lives. We all know who appointed him. Winton may even be appointed Chair or Vice Chair of the Commission if he succeeds in sneaking-in through the back door. That will be a travesty.
Now if someone will indict Spence-Jones...
