Greening up the Grove

The Business Improvement Committee (BIC) and Grove residents will be filling the planters on Commodore Plaza with soil and planting ferns next Saturday, Aug. 18th at 6:30 a.m. We know it is early but they have to get in and get out before Saturday's heavy traffic.

The job should be finished by 11 a.m.

This is the first phase of this project. The second phase involves heavy pots and flowers.
Help is also needed on Monday, Aug 20th at 6:30 a.m. - same game plan - to finish the project.

Please feel free to ask friends to join in. Pack your hat and sunscreen - work gloves and refreshments will be provided.

Please call or email Sue McConnell asap if you are interested. 305-442-9235 -

Grape, After discussing the same with the Mayor and Chief of Police, I was able to get the panhandlers out of the planter behind Starbucks, but not the trash, etc, they left behind. Maybe the committee could have that area planted, too.

It is the residents helping the BIC - come on out and help. We have to start somewhere and when Commodore is finished we will move to other streets but it would be nice to have as many people out there as possible.
