First day of school

Yesterday was the first day of school. Here's how it went down at Coconut Grove Elementary School.

Anonymous said...: Not to worry. I asked permission to take the photos. I told everyone that I was covering the first day of school event on behalf of our very own Coconut Grove Grapevine Blog. Everyone was thrilled to cooperate and be photographed. No one declined, got upset, or dashed away. Since that day I even ran into some parents while having breakfast at Focaccia and they have thanked me and requested I e-mail them copies of the photos of their kids on that first day of school. But just to be on the safe side next year I should ware a shirt or hat that says Photographer, Press, Media, Coconut Grove Grapevine or This Man Is Not A Pedophile. All in all it was a fun time for me since I don’t have any kids and was able to enjoy the first day of school and meet new people without all of the angst, stress and trauma while documenting this day for us all. I do hope that you will also enjoy the photos. I am most pleased in having the opportunity of being an occasional contributor.
