Well....there's certainly no one better qualified to recognize a good solid gag-inducing whine than a Grovite so.......SURE! Great sign.
Let me get this straight.."people" drive into downtown Miami to earn a living and we greet them with gratuitous insults while simultaneously inviting them into our charming litter-stewn village to be confronted by 5am drunks? Much too subtle. Maybe the next sign should say "You Suck. Visit the Grove".
I have never seen so many bitter people without a sense of humor. Either people are totally stupid or just jealous of the Grove. I can't figure out which.
Considering the comments left by many readers on this blog over many months, both arrows should be pointing south. I love the Grove and I wouldn't live anywhere else in Miami. I'm just disillusioned with the level of whining and moaning and complaining and b*tching.
Very good marketing. It has led to comment, which is the goal of advertising.
Biting the hand - I think your slogan is kinda catchy: "You Suck. Visit the Grove." It works on several layers; you suck NOW, but a visit to the Grove will cure that. Or, you suck, but we love you anyway. Or, you suck and we want you to come by so we can rub it in.
Yeah, I like it.
Brett,
A very wise person once observed that we don't know who discovered water, but we're pretty sure it wasn't the fish. One can understand why you didn't get the joke.

I think it would be much more accurate if both arrows pointed to the right.
Why does anyone waste brain cells caring about crap like this. Its an advertisement. Get over it.
To Biting the hand...
We share your concerns about the sign and have taken up the cause. Old Grover will be posting some of the suggestions made here. Keep 'em coming in.
