Bring the kids to GroveHouse Artists events

This Sunday, April 29, GroveHouse Artists is holding their first Last Sunday Art in the Courtyard event. Artists will be in the courtyard at the Heart of the Grove (3439 Main Highway).

And just in time for Mother's Day, a Children's Arts and Crafts event will be taking place on Sunday, April 29 and again on Saturday May 5, both days from 1 to 4 pm. Children, ages 5 to 10 are invited to come and create original artwork for their moms. Artists from the GroveHouse Artists cooperative will be on hand to help paint birdhouses, picture frames, make clay pots and mobiles among many other things.

First craft is $10.00 and each additional craft is $5.00. This is an excellent way for children to enjoy art, work with professional aritsts and enjoy an "old Grove feel". For more info, please call 305-445-1743

"old Grove feel"?
Sounds more like a baby sitting fee. Old Grove used to have free things for all the neighborhood kids. Artists set up
in the former west Grove and invited kids
pied piper style. Kids kept what they made
same was true at Mayfair in the Grove not so
long ago. Ask the One Ear Society Artists.
That was/is the "old Grove feel"
