Ugly

If the powers that be would like to make 27th Ave. nicer, how about not allowing ugly things like this to be built? That would be a good start.

My friends and I call this building "Betty" because it is so ugly. It looks like a bomb shelter.

Not to put the new condos on 27th and Tiger Tail too far behind. For the longest time I thought they were office suites. Seems like they're dumping all of the architectural garbage on 27th ave.

If the building were sharp brilliant white, had better landscaping, more greenery on the side and a black iron picket fence it would not be bad looking at all.

This is one homely piece of shit. Even the color makes me want to barf. It makes you wonder about the kind of people that would buy into something like that.

The architect for this job was trippin when he designed this building. I would ask for a refund.

The original plan called for the building to be sheeted in a new type of outdoor wood veneer. Original plans looked quite interesting, almost like a wood floor wrapping the building. Once the builder attempted to order they found out that it would not hold up to our moist weather and they quickly put up the stripped stucco you see today.

Maybe someone who lives there will read this Blog and get some trees planted around the building.

That's it, plant tall trees on the big blank wall of the chocolate building and hide the building; that is the best you can say for it. If we want to beautify SW 27th we are sure off to a bad start with this building and that horrible blue one at the Tigertail and 27th Ave. Who is designing these buildings - and they must be picking out those God awful colors at Home Depot.

Butt Ugly! Utterly tasteless, and without consideration of the integrity of the area, both past and present.

Too late folks. We get to gaze at its prison-like façade for at least the next decade.

I like the building, specially the interior bamboo. Like Anonymous of 030707/2:13pm, I am glad it is not another tiresome Mediterranean knock-off. I believe this is the work of Chad Oppenheim, an architect who champions green design. Miami is lucky to have him, and so is the Grove. Google him!
