The Fit is performing tonight

The Fit, from left Joe, Joel, Mary, Andy and Brant

The Fit will be playing tonight from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Club 3484 Main Hwy. (former Tuscany). The new owners of the place (next door to Senor Frog's) have done a really nice job with the decor and food, and they are actively trying to build a following as a true music nightspot (something that the Grove hasn't really had since the Taurus closed its doors).

So why not go out and support a great local band?

Rock n Roll, R&B, country, and a touch of disco. Beatles, the Zombies, Byrds, Pretenders, Tina Turner, The Doors, Marvin Gaye, Fleetwood Mac, The Romantics, even the Ramones, and much more.

I'm the one in the middle.

Or I could be the one on the far right. Folks tell me I'm on the far right, anyway, even though I swear I'm a libertarian.

That chick is about as hot as a fart after 3 meals of Taco Bell. The dudes look like a country version of the Village People.

Somebody needs to tell these owners that the music is great but when you are sitting outside trying to enjoy dinner and speak with your friends, the speakers blasting overhead are not what you want to hear. You came to talk and enjoy your meal; if you want to hear the music at closer range, you would go inside.

Thanks for the plug, Grapevine. We had a nice group of people, there, and had a great time. The new owners are really good people.

We'll be back at that club on April 13th. Don't be shy about introducing yourselves when you drop by.

I tend to agree with the previous post about the volume. However, if you know there is live music in a restaurant, you'd think twice about going if what you want is to enjoy a quiet evening talking to friends and catching up.

Duh.
