Coconut Grove Gallery
I noticed the big sign on the side of the building and walked over. And it's a good sign. Have you visited Coconut Grove Gallery and Interiors at 2790 Bird Avenue? It's a really nice place. They are sort of across from the Loggerhead, actually across from the Bird Bath laundromat.

Why haven't I visited the Coconut Grove Gallery lately? I might be overly sensitive person but when I have been inside the Grove Gallery I feel a lot of tension in the atmosphere, as if the staff are all worried they may be the next one to be fired or are simply unhappy to be working there. The owners have done wonderful things with the property but the thing they need now is to connect with the community...perhaps sponsor worthy causes around the Grove, 'paying it forward'.
I, too, have been in the Grove Gallery and they do have beautiful merchandise. I have not been back in the gallery since my first visit, several years ago. The property has improved, as you mentioned, but the attitude of the owner has probably not changed. When I was in the store, she was yelling at employees right in front of me, while I was browsing. I felt very uncomfortable and as a store owner, myself, I found it very unprofessional.
