Out of all the representatives that my girlfriend wrote to, only Thomas Regalado actually wrote back.
I prefer to shop at Shell Lumber. Even if I don't need anything, I'll buy something just to eat the free popcorn.
Besides going to the airport, it's the only reason that I'll cross U.S. 1.
Milam’s was so happy about Home Depot coming and very supportive. They had pictures of what it was going to look by the exit which made me sick every time I left and made me not want to shop there since they supported HD.
Now that they may get kicked out they are all of a sudden against HD. Milam’s has to learn that they don’t get to change their mind back and forth about what side of this battle they want to support. They are too late to change my mind about them. I say lets get rid of HD and Milam’s and let Publix take over their spot. They are half the price, much cleaner and I have never been sick from their meat like I have from Milam’s.
Don't forget Poe's Rental. Using either you'll never have to go to a Home Dumpo again. As far as Milam's OMG, does any one go there? The rotten meat, overpriced food... They should have been kissing Grovites ass coming and going on this issue. They so turned me off when I saw that huge bs mock up... I couldn't even go there to get the occasional canned good anymore. And what's with all the trees that were on the renderings? These guys are cutting down old mahoganies like they were planning a furniture store. Off topic but what does happen to that expensive wood...
I agree with miamista that Milam's hardly deserves much sympathy. Their produce and meat are especially overpriced and of poor quality.
They seem to take Grove-ites' patronage for granted. I constantly beg my wife to stop patronizing them (except for the wine selection, which isn't bad). Why others insist on doing all their shopping at Milam's is a mystery to me.
Yes, Milams is second rate. So is Fresh Market. Now that we have Whole Foods why would you shop anywhere else? Publix is awful. Crap food for people who never read labels; same for "Fresh and Processed" Market and much of Milams. I guess the people at Fresh Market like their trans-fats and hormone laced meats expensive, cause that's where they're all shopping, under those pretty lights with all that food you could buy in any Winn Dixie. Why why why has it taken so long for Miamians to get anything decent in the way of grocery stores? I guess when you're this dumb you deserve what you get.
