A friend sent me a couple of these photos this week and I stopped by this morning and checked it out. The old Pharmacy sign is appearing above the main entrance on the corner at 3036 Grand Avenue.
We wrote about the ghosts of the past and had a bunch of photos of the building last week, but now this great old memory is coming out.
I don't remember the pharmacy, but I can almost picture it in my head. It probably had an old fashioned soda fountain and an old pharmacist in the corner, filling prescriptions.
Do any of you have memories of the old pharmacy?
As of this writing the previous story had almost 80 comments on Facebook where people discussed the old building and the Grove's history and their memories. So comments for this post may end up there as well, if they do, I'll report the findings and what people have to say in another post here in the Grapevine.
This is the shape of the building today as it goes under renovation/reconstruction.
