The Bookstore has been saved!

Amanda De Seta
Amanda De Seta is the new owner of The Bookstore in the Grove.

Friday is the last day that Felice will be part of The Bookstore. And on Saturday, Amanda will take over. Jason, Felice's son told me that something was in the works and I had my fingers crossed ever since.

Amanda once produced indie movies for 20th Century Fox. Here in Miami Amanda has turned to real estate, part of a series of homes known as the Glass Houses.

It's a weight of so many of us who feel that The Bookstore is a big part of our community. It's more than just a Bookstore and thanks to Amanda, that tradition will go on.

Amanda met with the staff this morning and it seemed like a love fest.

  8. Wow, not all developers are evil! Now don't dare to bash the New Lego homes now that one of their developers saved the Bookstore..Hopefully this comment won't be banned like my previous....
Keep the bookstore as it it, Please Ms DeSeta, don't turn it into a Millennial hang out.

  10. I am so happy to hear this news! I hope they also continue with the Children's story time. My children and I always look forward to Fridays and Emma entertaining them with such joy. They always have to leave the store with each week's books. I hope they keep the staff my family and I have grown to love!
