Barracuda was a raw bar, a domestic beer bar and has now found the niche that makes it a destination for every age group and every walk of life.

The diverse array of beers, many from local breweries, draw a diverse clientele. The young professional sits next to the long time local resident, who starts a conversation with a group of tennis players, who reminisce with the bike riders who remember when they went to "Cuda" as UM students.
Barracuda sometimes reminds me of Mac's Club Deuce on South Beach. All walks of life mix and mingle. I walked in on a Tuesday and knew three people having a drink and/or lunch. The few minutes I intended to stop in ended being an hour. Lee Kessler bought the place in 2012 and promised to make it a "great dive bar." It's that. And more. Sort of an "upper-class diver bar."
I love the fish sandwich and fish salad, too. One of my friends was having that as I entered. Great choice. Be sure they give you the garlic bread with it. So soft, hot and delicious.
Their hashtag says it all...

Barracuda Taphouse and Grill is on Fuller Street. Heck, it is Fuller Street.

Lee is a great operator and a gentleman. John Elmasry started the bar as Crazy Flamingo. There was a great story in NewTimes about how the bank vault room was converted into the pool table area.
