Vizcaya has announced that scholarships are available for bus transportation for Title I schools in Miami-Dade County. The bus scholarship program brings 4th through 12th grade students to Vizcaya Museum and Gardens for guided tours and programs. A limited number of scholarships are available; teachers who sign up before December 23, 2016 will receive free admission. After December 23, regular admission rates will apply.
“Vizcaya’s bus scholarship fund helps ensure that students throughout Miami-Dade County can come to the estate and engage in the dynamic learning environment found at Vizcaya,” says Wendy Wolf, Vizcaya’s Deputy Director for Learning and Visitor Experience. “Our school group tours are guided experiences around themes such as design and architecture, geography and exploration, and environmental preservation.”
Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and subject to guided tour and bus availability. Applications are available online at vizcaya.org must be received a minimum of four weeks in advance of requested date. All visits must take place by June 8, 2017.
For more information, teachers from Title I schools may email diana.pena@vizcaya.org or call 305-860-8436.
