Meet Roberto Fiorentino; artist

Meet Roberto Fiorentino, he has a pop up gallery at CocoWalk this week. The Italian artist and painter is featuring "OFFshore," a collection at the WeGallery, which is open daily through Sunday from noon to 9 pm as part of Bacardi Sailing Week.

Many of his works are sailing inspired pieces that explore different painting techniques. Bright, glistening characteristics dominate Roberto's work: a purely recreational act, unaffected by any sort of logical complexity. Roberto's past exhibitions, including those in New York, Florence, Sorrento, Milan, Naples, have all received critical acclaim and he has been featured in several publications. He's very friendly and happy to talk to you about his work. Roberto was born in Naples, Italy.

Betty Alvarez accepts a glass of champagne at Saturday night's opening reception, their next door neighbor Bice provided hot hors d'oeuvres.
The gallery is at the long space at the passageway, you can't miss it.
Some of this work looks like it would make a great Arts Festival poster. A couple of friends and I spent a good time with Roberto. Check him out this week if you can.
