The Alhambra Orchestra held the "Youth and Hope" concert Sunday night at Ransome Everglades school. This yearly concert featured the winners of a concerto competition. Above, Anthony Arcaini, composer, conducts the orchestra.

Anthony is 19 and began piano lessons when he was five. Since he's been 12, he has studied piano and composition with University of Miami professor Thomas Sleeper, as well as with Dr. Robin Arrigo. His home is in Cortona, Italy, but he does spend time in Florida. He has been performing and conducting at European venues and festivals since 2007.

Anthony wrote "Monaco Fantastique" in 2008, in honor of Prince Albert II of Monaco. It has seven variations describing aspects of the country of Monaco. Anthony played the initial piano version for Prince Albert II at a private audience and also performed it in 2009 at a benefit concert. He premiered the orchestrated version in Monaco on September 8, 2012, conducting the Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra.
