Historic walking tours join free bicycle tours

This winter, from January through March, the Coconut Grove BID will be offering historic walking tours of Coconut Grove and of course the popular bicycle tours will continue.

Every second and fourth Saturday, join HistoryMiami’s historian Dr. Paul George as he uncovers the captivating history of Miami’s oldest and most charming community by visiting notable sites including Ransom Everglades School, Millionaire’s Row, the first public school in Dade County, Plymouth Congregational Church, Coconut Grove Playhouse, and the Barnacle Historic State Park. These tours are from 4 to 6 pm.

In addition, every first and third Saturday, Urban Naturalist Frank Schena will lead eco-friendly tours that will take participants on a scenic and historic ride through the lush streets of Coconut Grove. These bike tours are from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, please bring your own bikes.

These events are free.

Meeting locations will be announced when you make your reservation, which can be done by emailing the BID office at bidoffice@grovebid.com

For more information, please email Jackie Segedin, Marketing & Public Relations Coordinator at Jackie@grovebid.com
