The Tropical Flowering Tree Society (TFTS) meets on the second Monday of the month at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden (10901 Old Cutler Road) in the Corbin Building, next to the Garden House.
Monthly programs include speakers, rare flowering tree auctions, bloom table, and refreshments. Visitors are welcome at no cost. Become a member for only $30 a year.
The next meeting is Monday, October 13 when Paul Gehrke speaks, he is the head grower at Pure Beauty Farms in Homestead and he's a TFTS board memeber. The topic is "Fertilizer and Plant Nutrition for Flowering Trees."
The event starts at 7:30 pm.
