Mad Hatter artist; Richard Bello

The Mad Hatter Arts Festival is November 15 and 16 at The Barnacle. We'll be profiling some of the artists who are participating this year.

First up is Richard Bello, sculptor. His Medium is ceramic and fiberglass. This is Richard's First time participating in The Mad Hatter, he has only lived in Miami for two months and he is hoping to have his work seen by an upscale audience.

In the past Richard, shown here, has participated in the Downtown Art Festival. He has received the Governor's Young Artist Prize in his home of Puerto Rico and was also chosen as Gallery Guide Artist of the Month.

Much of Richard's work is done by body casting, and he gets many commissions to perpetuate the faces and forms of people's loved ones (Spouses and Children) for all time. The face casts are beautiful and quite haunting at the same time.
