It's Mad Hatter weekend in Coconut Grove

The Mad Hatter Arts Festival has been going on all weekend in and around The Barnacle. Art, plants, live music, funny hats, it's all part of their 9th year.

Be sure to check out Liz Gibson and Audrey Scott as the Queen of Hearts and the Mad Hatter. You'll see them at the entrance on Main Highway.

The Mad Hatter has moved around over the years, which maybe is a good thing, it sort of gives people a chance to enjoy different areas of Coconut Grove. I had a friend with me who had never been to The Barnacle, this was her first time and she was quite impressed. Another friend with us visits often, and he always enjoys the grounds.
The festival is running all day Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm.  It's a great place to find one-of-a-kind holiday gifts.

There's always live music and they also for sale is the famous Barnacle burgers and other items.

One of my favorites -- the Mermaid booth.
Keeping with the theme, Alice in Wonderland was shown last night, outdoors on the big lawn.

The drum circle is always part of the Mad Hatter Festival. Stop by, sit down, grab a drum and enjoy.

And don't forget your mad hat. The madder, the better.
