Local bartender in finals of bartender competition

Megan Bardoe (left), one of the bartenders at Lulu in the Grove, has been selected as one of six finalists in the 2014 Bärenjäger "Bee Original Bartender Competition." She had to enter a unique Bärenjäger cocktail and it caught the judges' attention. The Bärenjäger types drinks had to consist of Bärenjäger brands of Honey Liqueur, Honey Liqueur and Bourbon Whiskey, Honey Liqueur and William Pear Brandy, and/or Honey and Tea Liqueur as one of the principal ingredients.

Megan came up with her special recipe and sent the recipe into the contest, not the actual drink. But at the final mix off, she'll be flown to New York to actually make the drink in front of a panel of judges on October 6, who will then decide on the spot who the winner is.

She thanks you all for voting and supporting her in this exciting chance for her to win $1000 and a trip for two to Berlin.

Good luck, Megan!
